What changes is TAFL making to compete with other leagues?
We do not see TAFL as competing with other leagues as a goal.
Michigan, and in particular the areas that
TAFL covers, gives our children options. There are enough children looking to play to go around.
We want to make sure we offer a safe and developmental program to
all of our participants.
We are keeping our promise for continued developmental football.
We have added flag football to our league to help gain the interest of parents of younger
children.
We have added Tackle Bar, which will be the next step after flag and before adding full tackle
football to a child’s development. See Tackle Bar video.
Game day experience will change to home and away teams only.
In the past, all teams played on the same location each weekend, which made us one of the
largest venues in one locations, outside of tournament style environment.
In 2022 we will launch Community / Franchise concept to ensure more autonomy with the
communities. This will align our league with others and give new teams the flexibility to join our
league.
